Bnos Sara visits Seeach Sod
The day after Yom Kippur, 110 girls (!) from Bnos Sara came to visit our girls' high school, Maoz Yerushalim, in Ramot. The girls had a tour of the building, and met with speech and occupational therapists. One highlight of the tour was getting to meet with the horses and the horse therapists, who talked about how these animals can be of help in the development of the special needs population. The girls' next stop was a talk with a Seeach Sod parent, who described what it's like to bring up a special needs child.
Getting ready for Yom Kippur with Beis Yaakov & Kook Seminar students
As part of our "schools in the community" initiative, on the 8th of Tishrei we held a Tshuva convention at the Ma'oz Yerushalaim school in Ramot. Our 6th-9th grade girls were joined by 6th graders from the local Beis Yaakov school. They first enjoyed a spirited talk by Mrs. Sokolovsky, and then, accompanied by karaoke, moved on to singing High Holy Day songs. We loved how each and every girl sang her heart out, and the harmonies that we heard that day were truly beautiful.
