Participation in Batya, a youth group for religious girls, is an important component of Seeach Sod’s vision, with the goal of helping each girl feel a part of her surroundings – her home, her neighborhood, and her extended family.
Each year, fourth grade girls begin their Batya experience with a special gathering of thousands of participants from across the city. The gathering this year took place in Binyanei HaUma and included a special choir and play recounting the establishment of the Bait Yaakov and Batya movements. Our students listened attentively to the speeches and participated in the ceremony in which each Batya group was greeted, waving their flags excitedly when their group was announced.
The girls were enjoyed the program very much, returning to school with a positive feeling, as well as gifts from Batya.
