About Us
We believe in providing the optimal environment to advance the growth and development of our students in all realms. Our goal is to enable our students to integrate into society in the best manner possible. The staff of the Talmud Torah does as much as possible in order to provide the foundations for future growth.
Target Population
Boys ages 7-14 with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
Jewish Studies
Our curriculum is built to parallel that of other Talmud Torah schools and includes the study of Chumash, Parshat HaShavua, and Mishnayot. We hold Siddur and Chumash parties.
Professionalism and Technology
The school curriculum is innovative and progressive:
- The general school curriculum includes all of the subjects specified by the Ministry of Education
- The curriculum is adapted to each particular class according to level
- Each student has an individualized learning program to help her advance on her academic and skills level
The staff uses innovative methods to track and evaluate different approaches that are used to help students advance.
Learning Skills
In addition to the study of academic subjects, each class incorporates practice of important learning skills that will assist in advancing students further.
Supportive Infrastructure
Pool, Snoezelen room, physical education, emotional intelligence, art, dance, music, puppet theater, animal therapy, occupational therapist, speech therapist, physical therapy, emotional therapy.
Social Life
The social experience at the Talmud Torah is a central component, and there are many activities, including group and individual social skills workshops, class programs and parties, and annual events.
Proper Conduct (Derech Eretz)
We place emphasis on appropriate behavior and proper conduct in public. We have a comprehensive personal safety curriculum.
Independence
The Talmud Torah has a unique curriculum to encourage independence in daily life, including a home economics course and other practical clubs.
Professional Staff
Our staff includes certified female special education teachers, Rabbeim, afternoon staff, health professionals, and a social worker.

8:00 AM – 6:00 PM. Vacations parallel those of the Ministry of Education.
