Vocational Training at Yeshivat Otzar HaTorah
As part of the vocational training program at Yeshivat Otzar HaTorah, the occupational therapist divides the students into groups that study various work skills, such as following instructions, ensuring quality, and oversight. The students receive a salary for their work, and they can use the money that they earn to buy things once a week at the special kiosk built for this purpose. The students in these pictures are in the maintenance track.
Starting Batya? We Are too!
As in past years, students at Maoz Yerushalayim participated in the special ceremony in the Binyanei HaUma Convention Center for girls entering the Batya program. The students were very excited to be part of the program and to join with the students of other schools.
Bat Mitzvah to Maya Pollack
On 22.11, Seeach Sod was privileged to host Maya Pollack and her family, who celebrated Maya’s Bat Mitzvah together with the Bat Mitzvah girls of Seeach Sod.
The Right Choice!
On October 30, election-day for mayor and city councils, all Seeach Sod schools were closed. The respite center ran a program for many students, beginning in the morning and lasting through the day. Seventy students from all of Seeach Sod’s schools participated in age and ability-appropriate activities. Some enjoyed an amusement park, including inflated trampolines and food stalls. Others enjoyed a special trip to the Biblical Zoo, while others visited a nearby voting station to take part in the elections for the Jerusalem municipality.
Residents of Apartment Ha’Or Celebrate at their Counselor’s Wedding
The excitement ran high at Apartment 3 Ha’Or street, as the residents got ready for their beloved madricha’s wedding. The young women had spent the past few weeks preparing a special surprise for their counselor, and they couldn’t wait to show it to her.
Students from ORT High School Visit Seeach Sod
On May 27, students from the ORT High School visited Seeach Sod. They took a brief tour of the building and enjoyed a joint craft activity with our students.
To Mom with Love
Participants in our women’s vocational program prepared personal chocolate packages for the mothers who travelled on the trip to the Ukraine. The girls were very excited, and the mothers were particularly moved.
Ohr St. Residence at the HaModia Fair
Residents in the Ohr St. apartment participated in the HaModia Fair, including a play, and enjoyed many enriching experiences.
Yeshivat Otzar HaTorah Gives Back to the Community
Students at Yeshivat Otzar HaTorah volunteered this week at Shaarei Zedek Medical Center, where they helped peel and cut vegetables in the kitchen. Students were left with a feeling of satisfaction after giving of themselves for others.
Participants in the Day Program Travel to Work at Tachlit
After much preparation and anticipation, the members of the Bareket group at our women’s day program had the opportunity to go to work preparing food packages for the needy. They practiced a number of concepts that they had learned, such as road safety, recognizing streets and signs, travel on public transportation, use of a Rav Kav card, and more.
