As part of our "schools in the community" initiative, on the 8th of Tishrei we held a Tshuva convention at the Ma'oz Yerushalaim school in Ramot. Our 6th-9th grade girls were joined by 6th graders from the local Beis Yaakov school. They first enjoyed a spirited talk by Mrs. Sokolovsky, and then, accompanied by karaoke, moved on to singing High Holy Day songs. We loved how each and every girl sang her heart out, and the harmonies that we heard that day were truly beautiful.
Our vocational training center women also had a Tshuva convention, together with student-teachers from the Kook seminar. The convention kicked off with a stirring talk by Mrs. Tennenbaum. This was followed up by reading Psalms, a sing-along, and an interesting PowerPoint presentation.
