Around the Year
Chanukah is done, but not the fun!
The Chanukah lights are meant to stay with us through the dark and cold winter.
If the lights are that powerful, then so are the smiles of our students. The excitement and enjoyment our students, vocational members and residents felt the week of Chanukah will certainly last through the cold winter and beyond!
Simchat Beit Hashuava
On Tuesday night of Sukkos, the first night of Chol Hamoade, Seeach Sod held their 10th annual Simchas Beis Hashuava on the rooftops of its main building on Yirmiyahu Street.
An estimated 2,000 men, women and children participated in this grand event!
The orchestra playing on stage was "The Malchut Choir" which included 5 musicians and they played with great enthusiasm from 6pm until after midnight!
Where True Simcha is Found
Sarah Nathan
Happiness. It’s a curious thing. External reality tries to pin it on us. It tries to suck us in; force feed what it exclaims is true, unadulterated Simcha. Yet, how many of us have found ourselves standing in what should be a fantastic and jubilant ambiance, only to feel alone and sad inside? On the contrary, as most things in life are ironic, how many times have we found ourselves in a reality of sorrow only to discover our inner serenity is still smiling? The reason for this is that happiness or joy is an emotional state of well-being, thus it is an internal existence that has nearly no guaranteed outcome when correlated to any given situation.
Purim Fair – a Signature Form of Integration
As its usual tradition, the students of Ma’oz Yerushalayim, Seeach Sod’s girls’ school, pulled off a fantastic fair in honor of Rosh Chodesh Adar. The fair was attended by children of staff members, students’ siblings and children from the neighborhood.

Pesach Prep Program
A big part of Pesach preparations at Seeach Sod was ensuring that all our students would be properly imbued with the knowledge and joy of the upcoming chag. All the various staff members were convened at a special meeting, where Rabbi Shimon Levy shared his vision of the upcoming pre-Pesach day camp: utilizing the time for optimal rehabilitation and recreation, with a focus on enriching the children’s knowledge of Pesach.

Children from the local Ramot community were welcome too.
