This year, the dais on stage was graced with an especially large number of esteemed Rabbis and Roshei Yeshivos, including: Chief Sephardic Rabbi Yitzchok Yosef (who had come straight from his father’s hospital room); Rabbi Shmuel Auerbach; Rabbi Baruch Mordechai Mizrachi, Rosh Yeshivas Ateres Yisrael; Rabbi Yitzchok Ezrachi, Rosh Yeshivas Mir; Rabbi Adler, a dayan on the Agudas Yisrael Beis Din; Rabbi Leib Mintzberg, leader of Khal Adas Yerushalayim; Rabbi Reuven Elbaz, leader of the Ohr Hachaim institutions; Rabbi Eliyahu Abba Shaul; Harav Moseh Elyashiv; Rabbi Elimelech Biederman; Rabbi Shmuel Rabinowitz, Rav of the Kotel and Holy Sites. Also in attendance were the Rebbes of Slonim, Zhevil, Nadvorna, Stropkov, Shomrei Emunim, Lutzk, Trisk, Rospshitz, Strikov, Ungvar, and Spinka. Other prominent figures were Rabbi Avraham Yosef Leizerson, Director of Chinuch Atzmai; Deputy Mayor Yitzchok Pindrus; City Council Member Yosef Lok and others.

The evening was enhanced by Yanky Rubin’s professional band and Yanky Daskal’s singing. Towards the end of the celebration, Jewish music star Yaakov Shwekey made a surprise appearance, warming all with his thoughtfulness and of course, his beautiful singing.
