A juggler, acrobat show and musicians had everyone fired up with excitement and joy. The traditional Purim Tish (traditional Chassidic feast) this year welcomed members of the new Vocational Training Center in Bnei Brak and was graced by the presence of several prominent public figures including MK's Aryeh Deri, Menachem Eliezer Moses, and Uri Maklev. Tzvika Cohen, director of the VTC and Dovid Reicher, coordinator of enrichment program, regaled the crowd with hilarious entertainment. At a climactic point of the Tish, Amram Glick, supervisor of the Jerusalem VTC, requested of R' Aryeh Deri that those boys who would take upon themselves not to speak during tefillah should be able to receive a blessing from Rabbi Ovadia Yosef at his house!
The girls celebrated by dressing up in identical costumes and dancing spiritedly to lively music. Another smashing event was a Purim Fair, held jointly for our girls in the Ashira Vocational Training Center along with students from the New Seminary. Each group of girls dressed up like a different company and held related activities. Through laughter and friendship, the girls celebrated the joyous spirit of Purim.
