Physical therapy addresses the diagnosis, rehabilitation, and prevention of impairments in movement, with the goal of helping the client achieve maximum mobile functioning.
Each student’s physical therapy program is based on a comprehensive assessment and consultation with parents and professional staff. During physical therapy sessions, the student learns to control his movements and to use his muscles properly. Physical therapy also strengthens the muscles and improves posture and physical stability.
Physical therapy sessions take place in rooms designated for that purpose, as well as in the classrooms, exercise rooms, gymboree rooms, and outdoor spaces. Sessions are usually individual, but sometimes done in a group setting.
Sessions make use of medical and orthopedic equipment tailored to the needs of each student.
The physical therapists of Seeach Sod provide treatments to students from early childhood until adulthood. In addition to providing individual and group therapy, they instruct staff regarding each student’s needs and maintain constant communication with the parents in order to help each child advance in the realm of gross motor skills.

Each students has a personalized plan to meet his needs. The child’s goals and the choice of methods are established through consultation with the professional staff and the family, with the ultimate goal of maximizing the child’s independence and integration into the community.
