Presentation Day
As part of the learning in the context of this year’s theme of “Self-Advocacy,” each class in Maoz Yerushalayim is contributing to a special art exhibit. Through their presentations, the students express how they stand up for themselves. One amazing student presented a problem of how she often forgets things that she needs, and she was able to immediately come up with a solution – she will write notes in her planner to remind herself every week.
Dedication of Activity Room at Bnei Brak Vocational Program
An activity room was recently dedicated at the Bnei Brak vocational program for the benefit of the students. Another room will be used for exercise and sports activities.
Time for Creative Play
At Otzar Yerushalayim, playtime is used to encourage creativity through experiential learning – creating a model of Kever Rachel with a variety of materials, preparation of healthy treats, and construction of streets and sidewalks in order to understand the dynamics of the road.
Animal Therapy
Although our students have been enjoying animal therapy for some time, it continues to amaze and excite them! Recently, our friend Avi Kipnis came to Beit Metzudot and brought… a lizard, which entranced the students for a full hour.
