As further encouragement, for the past few years we have initiated a group trip abroad. The participants earn the money to pay for this special vacation. They wait for this trip all year – not only benefiting from the trip itself, but also from the feeling that it is worthwhile to put in the efforts necessary to earn a salary.
After extensive preparations, nearly 100 of the adults in the vocational program recently traveled on an amazing trip to Venice. Before their flight, there was a send-off party in the airport, attended by parents, the rabbi of the airport, and important guests. The flight itself went smoothly, and over the course of the trip, many people commented on the exemplary behavior of these adults.
Shabbat was spent in a hotel in the village of Sarmion, Italy. The joyful meals were accompanied by singing and divrei Torah delivered by rabbis and staff members. The prayer services were so moving that many hotel guests were brought to tears. Before Kabbalat Shabbat, Rav Shimon Levy, CEO of Seeach Sod, spoke about the significance of this joint trip. One of the guests in the hotel noted that he has travelled throughout the world and is acquainted with many different institutions, but this combination of professionalism and heartfelt commitment is unique to Seeach Sod.
The participants returned from this incredible trip reinvigorated and full of energy to begin a new year of productive work.
