. The activities enjoyed by the boys included swimming, sports, relay races, picnics, shows and outings. Incorporated into their daily schedule were Torah classes and shiurim, including an inspiring talk on faith by Dr. Turgivitzky, a terror attack survivor.
One of the highlights of their action-packed program was a concert by Chassidic music star Lipa Shmeltzer, during which the boys danced and sang with euphoric liveliness. The climax of the concert was when Lipa dedicated a special song in honor of our group home residents. Chazzan Chaim Adler also performed together with our very own student and aspiring Chazzan Menachem Eisenbach. Another exciting activity was a riveting dog show, featuring trained dogs that performed stunts like jumping through hoops and counting to ten. The boys also enjoyed a fabulous magic show by magician Shimi Iluzini. The campers were even privileged to broadcast live from their camp on the Kol Chai Radio Station! Firefighters from the Netanya Fire Station gave an informative and interesting presentation on fire safety. Another highpoint was when 30 members of Zaka’s Divers’Unit helped the campers dive underwater in full diving gear! The 70 volunteers, who came along to chaperone, were treated to an uplifting talk by Mr. Chaim Autmazgin, head of the Divers Unit, on the topic of “Volunteering and Giving”. The volunteers also enjoyed a question and answer session with Mr. Aharon Granot, a Mishpacha journalist, about his travels around the world.
