These women, who are mildly intellectually impaired, were previously living in various Seeach Sod residences throughout the city where they each achieved a level of independent functioning. They currently spend their days working in supported environments. Their workplaces include retail stores, preschools and catering establishments.
The Chanukas HaBayis for the new residence was particularly moving. During the special program, the residents shared with the audience their dreams and goals for their new home. Later in the evening, a farewell presentation was held for Mrs. Kimmel, in appreciation of all of her tremendous work on behalf of Seeach Sod throughout the years.
