The course was given by the Ministry of Welfare within our own building and schools. The course was comprised of each staff member attending 500 hours of training to work with the adult special needs population and 100 hours of internship work with a special needs adult.
At the graduation ceremony, some of the public figures who attended included: Senior employees of the Ministry of Welfare including Gideon Shalom, the Senior Vice President in the Ministry of Welfare; Avner Zaken, the Director of the Intellectual Disabilities Department; Nahum Ido, Director of the Supportive Housing Services; Yafa Shor; Director of the School for Training Social Service Workers; and Yaakov Halperin; a city councilman.
Rabbi Shimon Levy, the CEO of Seeach Sod, commented that the staff of Seeach Sod's Supporting Housing (adult special needs population) had received an extremely valuable course with comprehensive material that was filled with the highest quality of education from experts in the field. He thanked the Ministry of Welfare representatives who gave Seeach Sod the opportunity to be leaders in this field of work. He concluded by stating that the ceremony is not the end; that it is just the beginning of committed and high-standard work with the adult population in Seeach Sod.
Each graduate was individually congratulated while receiving their certificates and it was a proud moment for both Seeach Sod staff and the Ministry of Welfare.
