Election Season at Seeach Sod

At Seeach Sod’s Maoz Yerushalayim Girls’ School, the current election fever took hold in a unique way.

The teachers took advantage of the opportunity to teach the girls valuable lessons about the power of the individual and also the power of a united communal effort, and about respecting other people and their opinions.

Their extensive school-wide program simulated the election process. Each class chose a representative to be their candidate. Then the class went into high gear preparing an election campaign: posters, slogans, party symbols and pictures. Within a short time, the entire school was decorated with campaign materials!

Over the coming days, the girls will learn about the election process, and why it’s important to invest as much effort as possible to ensure that their candidates get the most votes.

Of course, they’ll all enjoy the fun of joining together to campaign for their candidate. But they’ll also learn the importance of listening to other candidates, being exposed to different ideas, and then weighing the issues to decide for whom they want to vote.

A special thank you to our unbelievable staff for creating such a special experience!
