Recently, the CEO, Rabbi Shimon Levy, and a few other prominent staff members took a tour of some of these work facilities and got to see the hands-on work our members engage in! The staff were amazed at the employees diligence, and work ethics and were so proud when they heard the employers speak of their progress and compliment their hard efforts. Hearing about their jobs theoretically and seeing it up font and personal are two totally different experiences and the CEO and the Seeach Sod staff entourage were utterly impressed by what they saw!
The tour began at Kanfei Nesharim's Rami Levi supermarket where they saw Yossi and Joseph working, stocking the shelves before Pesach. Joseph was especially excited to see the team's visit and "show off" his skills. Mr. Yechiel, the branch manager at the store, emphasized the joy Joseph brings to his co-workers and how he adds to the ambiance.
They also visited the Mishor Adumim industrial zone. The staff visited three Seeach Sod members at the Bereishit Bakery: Aaron, Yanki and Tzvi. Again the staff were delighted to receive an explanation about the wonderful work of the employees. Seeach Sod was praised by the manager for having a program that allows special needs adults to work in the community!
In addition, they visited Yekev winery, where the staff received an explanation of the winery from the Seeach Sod members.
They then continued to La Casa catering kitchen, operating out of the Slonim Yeshiva in Jerusalem where they met Shlomo and Moshe. They also had a short meeting with the owner of the catering who explained the importance of the work contributions of these dedicated employees.
At the end of the tour, it was evident that this tier of employment is successful and gives Seeach Sod adults self-esteem, self-worth, a meaningful destination each day, economic independence , the opportunity to be social and build their personalities!
