On the yartzeit of Rabbi Dov Levy z”l, visionary founder of Seeach Sod, several public figures toured the entire Seeach Sod network. MK Rabbi Yaakov Litzman, who on the first yartzeit had already dubbed the day as “Special Education Day”, chose to dedicate the day to a comprehensive tour of all the various Seeach Sod branches, in order to clarify the expanding needs of Seeach Sod. Several City Council members joined Rabbi Litzman, including: Rabbi Tzvi Cohen, who holds the religious education portfolio, Rabbi Yochanan Weitzman and Rabbi Itamar Bar Ezer.
The visitors were impressed with Seeach Sod’s rapid development and professional advancement. They repeatedly mentioned the late founder, pointing out with admiration that his vision continues to live on and bear fruit. The public sector representatives pledged to speed up the process of granting permits for a new building for Beit Metzudot, saying that within a few months, there would be tractors digging up the foundation.
The visit concluded in Kollel Chazon Dov – a kollel that was founded in memory of Rabbi Dov Levy z”l and promotes integration by pairing special-needs bachurim with regular avreichim from the community. The kollel members learned mishnayos in memory of Rabbi Dov Levy and then drank L’Chaim.
