The craft projects will be related to the time of year. For example, last week the first project our girls did with the young patients was Purim crafts in the spirit of Adar.
This brilliant initiative benefits all parties involved: the children enjoy the special attention they get while painting, cutting, and sticking, their parents are happy to see them occupied in a stimulating and enjoyable manner and our girls are immeasurably gratified to be on the giving end – performing chessed in a most fulfilling way.
This project is made possible thanks to the generosity of the Mechlovitz Family from Woodmere, New York who is sponsoring the art materials, L'iluy Nishmas Mrs. Mechlovitz's mother, Yocheved Basha Bas Moshe Aharon (Judy) Kaplowitz.
Special thanks is also due to Mrs. Rivka Bergstein for coordinating this project and to Miss Leah Yusba, Seeach Sod employment counselor, who is supervising the Ma’as girls in this project.
