It is home to Eliyahu, Dudi, Kfir, Eliyahu, Aryeh and Yisrael.
The residents, all of them above the age of 25, had lived in different apartments during the past 4 years and had progressed to achieve an extremely high level of independence, thus necessitating a separate home, where their independence and capabilities could be fully maximized. During the entire renovation process, the residents were actively involved in choosing design and furnishings. Some examples of the residents' level of independence are: traveling alone on public buses, working in the open job market, davening in the local shul and of course, active participation in housekeeping chores such as cooking, shopping, doing laundry etd.
The Chanukas Habayis, which was held on Chanukah - a month after they moved in, was attended not only by family members, but also by neighbors and local shul members who were eager to welcome them to the neighborhood! What a quintessential example of community integration!
