The Rebbe tested the boys on their learning and was greatly impressed by the knowledge they exhibited. The Rebbe then gave each boy a pomegranate and honey for a sweet new year.
After the visit to the Rebbe, the boys proceeded to perform tashlich as customary.
Accompanied by their maggid shiur, Rabbi Menachem Moskowitz, the yeshivah students went on an educational trip for a hands-on review of the halachos of succah and the dalet minim.
The boys learned about the different types of walls used to construct a succah and how many are necessary for the succah to be kosher. They also learned about the s'chach, which materials can be used and which cannot.
In the "Dalet Minim Market", the boys were able to see the various esrogim, lulavim and hadasim and analyze which qualities make each kosher or not.
Yeshivah Otzar HaTorah believes in bringing the classroom material to life for the students through hands-on experiences.
Wishing all a wonderful yom tov.
