Seeach Sod's Yecholot center presented the constantly evolving employment opportunities, which allow every graduate of the educational system to find a job that is best suited to his skills, capabilities, and preferences. Yecholot's unique training tracks provide a solid continuation of the graduates' functional development and an opportunity to learn valuable skills and continue to advance. Placement in one of the hundreds of positions available is done with full guidance for both the employer and the employee.
"Yecholot's team has brightened the continuation of our journey," said D., a parent who participated in the seminar. "For years we've been taking advantage of the 'window of opportunity' that the special ed system provided us and invested tremendous energies into our child, and now that he has reached adulthood we see that there is a solid continuation for all that hard work; a way to continue working on his development."
Speakers included Rabbi Shimon Levy, CEO of Seeach Sod; Rabbi Chaim Hirschman, head of the Welfare Administration at Seeach Sod who moderated the panel; Rabbi Tzvi Cohen, project manager of the Transitions for a Future project, who spoke about the transition from adolescence to adulthood; Rabbi Yaakov Druk, director of Seeach Sod's residential program, who gave a glimpse into the holistic housing solutions offered at Seeach Sod's group homes; Rabbi Avraham Banjo, social worker and manager of the Educational and Pedagogic division, who explained the different emphases each of Yecholot's tracks provides for all levels of function, including very high-functioning and independent candidates; and Rabbi Shalom Ausch, social worker, who explained the legalities of guardianship at this age.
CEO of Seeach Sod Rabbi Shimon Levy welcomed the guests – some of them parents of Seeach Sod graduates and others parents of graduates from other schools. He thanked the staff for working so tirelessly and devotedly and, beginning from the youngest ages, setting a continued sequence of ongoing development for all of Seeach Sod's students.
"Looking inward, striving forward" – thus was Seeach Sod's Welfare Administration's vision succinctly and perfectly summarized at the seminar. The Welfare Administration, which provides a wide range of services for young adults ages 21 and up, has compiled clear explanations of all its services for charedi adults in an easy-to-read guide.
