Celebrations were held for the graduates of both the elementary and high school of Ma’oz Yerushalayim.
The eighth graders celebrated outside (per Ministry of Education guidelines) and mothers were unfortunately not able to attend. Despite the inconvenient circumstances, the celebration was very festive. It felt like a party in an outdoor event hall!
Students from the other grades participated, maintain distance between each class. Each class performed a song and presented their best wishes to the graduates. The eighth graders then performed a dance that was perfectly choreographed and synchronized.
The graduates received framed diplomas, yearbooks filled with memories and pictures, and a special present – a speaker for a music player.
The twelfth grade graduation was held in a park, where the girls performed a dance and song. They enjoyed a funny and interesting presentation by their teacher, Chassi, about living independently.
A particularly sweet graduation was held at Maon Tzur. The children danced and sang, played musical instruments, received presents and treats, and had a lot of fun! It was amazing to see how much each child had grown and developed in all realms over the course of the year.
It was difficult to say goodbye to the children who are moving on (some to regular early childhood programs, and others to special education nursery classes. We wish them much success in the future, and we send them kisses from afar!
The early childhood programs also had graduation parties. The children received an album full of pictures from activities over the past year.
Yeshivat Otzar HaTorah held a moving ceremony, in which the second-year students celebrated the end of the year along with their completion of learning the 39 melachot of Shabbat.
The students received a present with a picture, and they were left with a sense of accomplishment.
