Mayor Abutbul, City Executives, Seeach Sod CEO Rabbi Shimon Levy and many people in the community celebrated the opening of the first residential home in Beit Shemesh under the Framework of Seeach Sod.
It was an exciting yet solemn few moments during the mitzvah of putting up the mezuzah.
Both Rav Shimon Levy and Mayor Abutbul spoke about the desire to help special needs children.
Mr. Nachum Ido, Director of Supported Housing Services in the Ministry of Social Affairs and Social Services spoke about the need to have students close to their homes, and Rav Igal Hadad, City Executive, Social Welfare and Torah Culture, and Rav Yeshayhu Eherenreich, City Executive, Education and Planning portfolio, also gave their blessings.
After the ceremonies, the dignitaries were given a tour of the new home. The home had a cheerful and elegant design with freshly painted white walls, contrasting grey beds, and fresh colorful linens.
