Putting Beit Shemesh on the Map: The Beit Shemesh program held a festive Chanukah party, with delicious food, great music, and a special atmosphere. The biggest surprise? The participation of the mayor of Beit Shemesh, Rav Moshe Abutbul, who delivered a speech and who celebrated together with staff and students.
The men’s vocational programs in Beit Shemesh and Bnei Brak came together for a festive Chanukah party with the Kozkim band and a delicious lunch. They were joined by Bnei Brak mayor Rav Chanoch Zeibert.
Women’s Vocational Program Party at Big Bite: The women participated in a special program, which encouraged them to continue their efforts in going to work each day. The party provided an opportunity for the women to meet friends who work in other places, whom they see only infrequently.
Maoz Yerushalayim Keeps Giving: Continuing the theme of the month of Kislev – giving to others through the kis (pocket) and the lev (heart) – the theme of the Chanukah celebration was “a little bit of light.” When you compliment and encourage others, it creates light and happiness in your own heart!
Chanukah in our Apartments: In addition to all of the parties, the spirit of Chanukah was felt in the apartments, where Chanukah candles were lit, songs were sung, and there were Chanukah decorations and food.
Otzar Yerushalayim – The Victory of the Maccabees: The themes of the battle between light and darkness was emphasized throughout the week through signs in the hallways and preparations for the Chanukah party. During the party, each group presented a part in the play – the Greeks, those learning Torah in the caves, the victory of the Maccabees, finding the flask of oil, and lighting the menorah.
Nofshon: The staff of the nofshon invests tremendous efforts throughout the year. On Chanukah, many took advantage of the nofshon’s services, and there were many activities. Don’t worry – there were plenty of doughnuts in the gymboree!
Chanukah Party in Zaritzky Apartment: The party was held in the home of the director, Sh. Zeidel. The residents and the volunteers had a great time.
The Party that Didn’t Happen: And then there was the party that didn’t happen… A group of women from the apartment on Rosenblatt St. were very excited in anticipation of their party, but they were told that it would be postponed due to the passing of Rav Shteinman zt”l. The women responded with tremendous maturity, declaring that everything is for the good. They had a party in their apartment, with a pleasant homey atmosphere, which they themselves prepared.
Maoz Yerushalayim at the Batya Chanuka Party: The Batya youth group arranged a large Chanuka celebration with girls from many different schools. The program included a special choir – including synchronized hand motions and sparkling costumes – presented by the students of Maoz Yerushalayim! The program also included other presentations and speeches, as well as a lot of singing and dancing.
Chanukah Party at Kollel Chazon Dov: After a festive breakfast in Eis Hall, Daniel Mizrachi was honored with the lighting of the candles. The party was particularly happy and was joined by some famous musicians: Malchus Choir, Chazan Chaim Adler, guitarist and singer Yitzchak Fuchs, keyboard player Yanky Angel, saxophone player Dovid Heller, singer Eli Hertzlich, singer Zanvil Weinberger, Chassidic composer R’ Elazar Esterzon, and the Lieberman children singers. Seeach Sod CEO Rav Shimon Levy spoke at the party.
Chanukah Party at Otzar Yerushalayim: The annual Chanuka party was held in Yeshivat Otzar Yerushalayim, attended by rabbinic and public figures who came to bring joy to our students. We were honored by the attendance of the great tzaddik Rav Gamliel Rabinowitz, who danced with the students for a full hour, told them about the miracle of Chanukah, and emphasized the importance of every young man who learns in Seeach Sod. Each student received “Chanuka gelt” and a special Chanukah doughnut.

The participants in the men’s vocational program in Bnei Brak was very excited to host the Rebbe of Kuzmir shlita, who spoke about Chanukah and delivered words of encouragement to the men.
The residents of the Even Shmuel and Chazon Ish apartments celebrated Chanukah together with great excitement, proudly hosting their families.
