Seeach Sod was established in 1971 by Rabbi Dov Levy z”l to answer to the pressing need for a religious educational framework for children with special-needs.

Seeach Sod served as a trailblazer in the religious community and continues to operate with a pioneering attitude, seeking out the most innovative solutions to enhance the quality of life for special-needs individuals.

Our mission is to improve the quality of life of individuals with special needs to the greatest extent possible by beginning the best treatment very early on in the child's life and accompanying the child with an individualized treatment plan every step of the way. Of equal importance, the organization aspires to change society's perspective on the special child and their rights to be fully included, independent, and respected in the local community. This is achieved by continuously initiating and promoting activities which involve inclusion and respect for the person with a disability in the community.

To date, Seeach Sod is comprised of a vast network of educational frameworks and programs that serve special-needs individuals across the entire age spectrum. The network, which is subdivided into myriad branches catering to various levels of handicaps, encompasses: an early daycare center, preschools, elementary and junior high school for girls, Talmud Torah and yeshivah for boys, a vocational center, a community-based residential program and a respite center. Some of these facilities have already received ISO 9001 certification for meeting international quality standards while the others are in the process of being certified.  

Seeach Sod’s directors are singularly focused on providing top-quality care to each one of its students, while at the same time extending supportive services to the parents and family members. A multifaceted array of activities and programs are arranged to promote integration of the special-needs community within mainstream society.
