On Rosh Chodesh Shevat, English-speaking mothers of students in Seeach Sod’s programs met for a special breakfast at Café Angel on Rechov Kanfei Nesharim. They presented a plaque to the manager of the restaurant, Ms. Yonit Nehorai, in gratitude for her hospitality.
Mrs. Doreen Winter, on of Seeach Sod’s social workers, led the discussion on the topic of when a person feels that she has become an adult and how a woman’s role in raising a child with special needs contributes to that maturity.
The warm feeling that was experienced by the mothers at the gathering gave them the sense that they are not alone in their challenges – Seeach Sod is with them every step of the way!
