About Our Program
Talmud Torah and Yeshivah Shaarei Tevunah is an outstanding educational framework for boys and bachurim ages 6 to 21 with high-functioning autism. Set in a vibrant, authentic yeshivah atmosphere, our curriculum masterfully balances limudei kodesh and Gemara study with core academics, empowering every student to become an active, self-reliant adult who communicates effectively with his environment. Our dedicated faculty imbues each talmid with lifelong values of mutual respect and community volunteerism, while cultivating emotional maturity and reinforcing interpersonal relationships.
Maximizing student capability requires a flexible, world-class clinical toolkit. Shaarei Tevunah draws from the TEACCH, DIR, and ABA methodologies to address the individual emotional and developmental milestones of every student. A multidisciplinary network of expert rebbeim, certified behavior analysts, and therapists coordinates daily to execute custom social-skills modules and adaptive behavior tracking. This comprehensive care spans childhood through young adulthood, culminating in flagship transition tracks that deliver hands-on career training and essential independent living skills.
Shaarei Tevunah’s beautiful campus is designed to cultivate sentiments of warmth and acceptance, its specialized vocational and sensory spaces boasting a carpentry shop, culinary teaching kitchen, cycling track, bookbinding workshop, and hydrotherapy pool. Guided by our philosophy of inclusion, we organize regular learning programs, chavrusos, and joint events with mainstream local cheiders and yeshivos, gifting our talmidim with powerful opportunities to apply their social skills in a natural setting and experience true community belonging.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do you mainstream your students?
We arrange and host regular social events and learning programs together with mainstream chadarim and yeshivos. These events are closely monitored and supervised to enable our talmidim to practice and master their clinical communication goals with peers in a natural, supportive environment.
Which clinical methodologies do you use?
Our team employs a customized, integrative model that combines the best tools and mechanics from the three globally-acclaimed methods of educating children with autism: TEACCH, DIR, and ABA. These principles are woven naturally into the daily yeshivah schedule by our clinicians and behavioral analysts with the goal of advancing communication and social skills and modifying behavior.
How do you prepare young men for independent adulthood?
Our transition framework utilizes two core avenues: Our specialized Building the Future vocational program provides technical training across various career tracks, while our community-based training apartments invite students to stay overnight once a week to gain hands-on mastery over time management, home maintenance, and basic life skills.
