Most of say Shmonei Esri without even thinking twice. But it is a big deal for special needs children to start this exceptional Tefillah! On Tuesday, March 8th, the 3rd grade in Maoz Yerushalayim (girl’s school) celebrated their starting to Daven Shmonei Esrei.
Before they began this auspicious prayer, they learned the meaning of each individual Bracha! To further the celebration of this benchmark in the girls spiritual life, they had a party with their families where the students sang special songs and performed a dance/drama presentations about the power of a mothers prayers.
It was a very special day where both the mothers and students felt deep gratitude that they can take three simple steps back and forward….and be part of our holy nation!
